Maison Et Objet 2023

First things first. What is Maison&Objet anyway? Maison&Objet is an event that takes place twice a year and is one of the most significant European events dedicated to decoration. The fair is closed to the public and occupies the premises of the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center in Paris, and brings together major exhibitors of furniture, accessories, and decorative complements for the home, catering to all decorating needs and styles. Maison et Objet is a reference point for decoration, creation, and design.

After a successful resumption in September 2022, the French fair is again becoming this highly anticipated meeting point for exhibitors present and visitors curious to feel the pulse of the decoration sphere and more broadly capture the spirit of the times and the brands’ solutions.

For 5 days, through the halls of the Parc des Expositions de Paris Nord, visitors can discover new products and new decoration trends. Traditional “What’s New” spaces will punctuate certain halls to tell the story of the times. Organized by trendsetters Elizabeth Leriche, François Delclaux and François Bernard, these spaces invite you to immerse yourself in current home trends from a selection of finely staged new products.

After having questioned the theme of the sensitive goal where the beauty of the handcrafted object and the new digitized world met in its September issue, Maison&Objet will this time highlight the growing need for “Care” that is winning the age. A significant theme.

This pair of English words emerged at breakneck speed during the pandemic, becoming in record time an absolute necessity in a disconnected age. Discourses based on “Caring” have invaded all spheres of society. Subjected to major economic, political and natural upheavals, society has witnessed the birth of a new paradigm where brands call for greater transparency and responsibility and consumers are called upon to become consumers by being more mindful of their home purchases.

Who is the designer of the year 2023 at the Salon Maison&Objet ?

Each new edition of Maison&Objet celebrates the work of a designer of exceptional talent and know-how recognized on the international scene. In January, architect and designer Raphaël Navot will receive the Designer of the Year award.

Based in Paris, Raphaël Navot has been signing emblematic places of Parisian life for several years. Among other things, he participated in the design of the Parisian club Silencio alongside David Lynch (2011), collaborated in the production of a very technical End Grain parquet line for Oscar Ono (2016), created a remarkable furniture line for Roche Bobois ( 2018) and most recently designed the attractive Hôtel Belle Plage in Cannes. Very attached to the notion of hospitality and history as a vector for unique atmospheres, this great name in contemporary design likes to use natural materials and comfortable forms to sketch cozy, elegant and timeless decorations where it is good to be to ride.

Which exhibitors will be present at Maison&Objet?

From the world of the kitchen to the living room, from household linen to children’s rooms, some 2,300 exhibitors have already confirmed their presence for the January edition. Scandinavian design brands , French made brands , Italian publishers , many of them are appearing this fall. The list of exhibitors is now available on the Salon Maison et Objet website.
